Seasonal inconveniences are events that can bring to a temporary bathing prohibition. In particular, they can be classified as:
In such cases, competent authorities shall take timely and adequate management measures. Such measueres are taken with a view to preventing bathers´ exposure to pollution, to reduce risk or to eliminate the causes of pollution and improve the quality of waters.
They also include information to the public.
Adequate management measures taken with a view to preventing bathers´ exposure to pollution shall be taken also in areas with sewage overflows into the sea. Such measures, aiming at preventing exposition to pollution, are taken when overflows are opened.

Seasonal inconveniences
Below are available seasonal inconveniences occurred in 2011 (Table seasonal inconveniences 2011). The first three occurred during the monitoring carried out on 11/07/2011, while the last is the result of a sampling carried out on 30/06/2011.
Preventive Management measures
In the field of preventive management measures, designed as action to prevent bathers´ exposure to pollution, in 2011 were affected 13 bathing waters characterized by the presence of temporary or permanent spillways at sea: 2 in the province of Forlì-Cesena (municipality of Cesenatico) and 11 in the province of Rimini (municipality of Rimini). Below there are two tables with the number of events during the season and the subsequent period of prohibition for each bathing water affected by the management measure.

Seasonal inconveniences
Below are available seasonal inconveniences occurred in 2012 (Table seasonal inconveniences 2012). The only one occurred during the monitoring carried out on 28/05/2012.
Preventive Management measures
In the field of preventive management measures, designed as action to prevent bathers´ exposure to pollution, in 2012 were affected 14 bathing waters characterized by the presence of spillways at sea. All bathing waters are in the province of Rimini (13 in the municipality of Rimini, 1 in the municipality of Cattolica). Below there is a table with the number of events during the season and the subsequent period of prohibition for each bathing water affected by the management measure.
